We're 11 days into the month, have you given in already? The challenge is to go 31 days without drinking alcohol, a task that can be difficult for some. What do you do if you get invited for a night out or a "few drinks at the pub?" Will you be able to go out and commit to Dry January and drink soft drinks for the night, or will you be defeated by resorting to a spirit or a pint of beer? Drinking can become more of a habit rather than a form of pleasure for some, such as 'wine o'clock' in the evening after a long day at work. But after the Christmas and New Year spirit, now is the perfect time to give your body (especially your liver,) a break from drink. Having less alcohol in your diet can have many benefits to your lifestyle and to your appearance, such as being able to sleep better, feeling more energised and having clearer skin. You will also save a lot of money, as alcohol can be a big part of your monthly costs when casual drinking, as well as going out. There are alternatives available, such as non-alcoholic beers or soft drinks, with some great examples below:
